A quiz competition was organized by Har Govind Khorana PG Research club[under the aegis of PG Research Committee], Subharti Medical college on the topic “Biomedical research” on 01/06/2022. Team members of the organizing committee were: Dr. Anjali Khare, Dr. Anuradha Dave, Dr. Bhawana Pant, Dr. Archana, Dr. Peetam, Dr. Kritanjali, Dr. Seema Negi and Dr. Kaynat.

Medical Postgraduate students batch 2020 from various departments participated in the quiz. A total 13 teams consisting of 26 students enrolled for the quiz. After elimination round,four teams were selected for final round. Due to tie up among team no. 3, 7 and 11, the elimination was done by lottery system and finally team no. 1[Vancouver], 4[Research gate], 7 [Embase] and 10 [NPTEL] were selected for final round.

Final round had three sections of question- Research Ethics, Research Methodology and Biostatistics. Team no. 7 (Embase) from department of Community medicine and Psychiatry attained first position, team no. 10 (NPTEL) from department of Pathology attained second position and team no. 4 (Research gate) from department of Psychiatry attained third position.

Vice Principal sir, Dr. Satyam Khare and faculty members from various departments graced the occasion. Dr. Arvind Krishna (Prof and HOD Dermatology, Dr. Saurabh Singhal (Prof and HOD Medicine), Dr. Rani Bansal (Prof and HOD Pathology), Dr, Kiran (Prof and HOD Physiology), Dr. Ruchi Tyagi, Dr. Hina Kauser, Dr. Shilpi Jain, etc had encouraged the participants.

All the participants were awarded with the certificate of appreciation, organizers were awarded with the certificate of contribution and winners were awarded with the certificate of achievement.
