05th- June- 2021 – Subharti Medical college celebrated the World Environment Day in the Council Hall of Subharti Medical College, with an august gathering of faculty members to the likes of Dr Anjali Khare (Professor, Pathology), Dr Rani Bansal (Professor and Head, Pathology), Dr Kiran Singh (Professor and Head, Physiology), Dr Jaskiran Kaur (Professor and Head, Biochemistry) etc, interns and non teaching staff of the medical college. The theme for the World Environment Day, 2021 was, ‘Reimagine, recreate, and restore’. Dr. Satyam Khare, Dean Academics & all the faculty members, students and staff to take pledge for conserving their environment. An essay competition was also organized by the department of community medicine, the best of which was presented on the dais by MBBS intern Abhilash of 2016 batch. A poster on, ‘Mother Earth’ made by MBBS intern Bhavya of 2016 batch was shown to everyone in the gathering. Dr. Rahul Bansal, head of the department (Community Medicine), concluded the session by reciting the excerpts from the treasure of his news readings, on the theme of Environment conservation. He also talked about rooting for our rich Indian heritage which had Environment conservation in its core. The meeting was concluded by a universal prayer and national anthem.
