About
Central Research Station (CRS) is equipped with multi disciplinary research facility and was established in 2002 under name of ‘Prof. Roshanlal Post Graduate Studies Research Centre’ as per the requirement of National Medical Commission- India for Post graduate students . The main focus of the Central Research Station is to conduct research , training , guidance to MD, MS, MSc, MPhil, and PhD students of Subharti Medical College and other allied colleges of Swami Vivekananda Subharti University . CRS also provide consultancy services related to research and development activities like
· Sample Collection , Sample processing and further analysis of results
· Preservation and processing of samples for Clinical Trials of Subharti Medical College and Hospital
· Short term training programmes to UG and PG students of various colleges
Facilities
CRS is facilitated with functional and equipped laboratory in accordance to NMC ( as per requirement of Post Graduate Courses) , which can be further categorized (depending on scope of Research /Biochemical or Molecular Tests ) :
Molecular Biology Facilities : Real Time Thermo Cycler, Deep Freezer (-80°C), Cooling Centrifuge, Table Top Microfuge, Laminar Air Flow, Gel Doc System, U.V. Trans-illuminator, Agarose Gel Electrophoresis Units, Microwave Oven, Digital Hot Plate with Magnetic Stirrer, Digital Dry Bath, Simple Hot Plate, Inoculation Hood, Electronic pH Meter, Electronic Balance, etc.
Molecular Genetics and Mammalian Cell Culture Facilities : Pico gene Spectrophotometer, , Real Time PCR, Fume Hood, CO2 Incubator, Laminar Flow Hood, Centrifuge, etc.
Molecular and Immunodiagnostic Facilities : ELISA Reader and ELISA Washer, Incubator, Electronic Balance, Water Purification System: (RO System), Autoclave, Deep Freeze (-20oC), Refrigerator, Water Baths, Centrifuge, Vortex Mixer, etc.
Imaging Laboratory: Fluorescent Microscope, Dark Ground Microscope, Phase Contrast Microscope, etc.
Protein Biochemistry : Automated Electrophoresis Units, centrifuge, etc.
As per recent trends, Medical Sciences need mutual and collaborative association between clinicians and researchers for better management and treatment of disease.
