About the Department

Welcome to the Department of Paramedical Sciences, No endeavor can be accomplished without the valuable contribution of the stakeholders involved, its success is entirely dependent on the teams working behind the scene, and similarly no treatment protocols can be perfect without skilled professionals like Paramedics. The technical expertise with theoretical knowledge is making Paramedics indispensable for any healthcare facility. Our success, over many years, has been the result of the quality of our teaching, support staff and excellent infrastructure. We are sure that the students will find the Department extremely beneficial for enhancing their professional skill and rising on the ladder of career advancement. Therefore, the main aim of our Department is to train the students in such a way that they apply their knowledge and skill in diagnostic as well therapeutic medicine.

The Department of Paramedical Sciences is one of the most advanced departments of Subharti Medical College, equipped with all the facilities related to teaching, training, learning & laboratory activities. At present, it is headed by Dr. Umesh Kumar, Ph.D in Biochemistry. He possesses vast experience of research and teaching. The other faculty members, highly qualified and experienced, are employed on a full time basis. The Department of Paramedical Sciences is a constituent department of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Subharti Medical College, Meerut.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Subharti Hospital is the Teaching Hospital of Subharti Medical College, accredited by NABH (Entry Level) and it’s Central Clinical Laboratory with NABL for quality standards. The Hospital and Laboratory are equipped with over 1200 beds and advanced equipments & machines. It. provides excellent opportunities to students for training during studies. The Department offers postgraduate programs in Medical Laboratory and Radio-diagnosis and Imaging Technologies, The undergraduate programs in the technology of Medical Laboratory, Radio-diagnosis & Imaging, Operation Theatre, Operation Theatre (Honors Anesthesiology) and in Optometry form the premium group of programs much sought for by most students. Besides, Diploma programs in MLT, X-Ray and Operation Theatre are also being conducted.
