Post Graduate Orientation Programme for Batch 2022 [from 15Feb-18th Feb 2023]

Post graduate Orientation Programme was organized by Scientific Review Committee [SRC] for PG Batch 2022 from 15th Feb to 18th Feb 2023. The basic Purpose of this programme was to orient the newly joined PG students with the facilities available in Swami Vivekanand Subharti University Campus, Subharti Medical College and its associated Hospitals.
In his inaugural speech Principal and Dean, Dr. Y P Monga Sir welcomed the newly joined PG students and gave a brief overview of this orientation programme with its importance. Dr. Satyam Khare sir, Vice Principal talked about  the SVSU Campus, Hostel and Facilities available within the Campus as well as rules and regulation to be followed in Subharti Campus for their happy and successful journey of post-graduation.

In the Pre lunch programme all four days from 10 am to 1 pm, Students had visited to various departments of Medical colleges, Hospital Block and University Campus in four groups. They have observed museums in the departments, facilities available,  Shaheed Upvan in the University campus.

Post lunch Programme was loaded with many useful presentation to enhance their capacity in their post-graduation like Universal Infection Control Policies and Practices, Biomedical waste management, Stress management, Rational Prescription Writing and Pharmacovigilance, Antibiotic Policy, Medical Ethics and Medico legal issues in the medical Practices etc.

Most interesting session was the workshop on communication skill in which students showed role play on topic like “How to break Bad news”, “Empathy”, “Communication of medical error” and “Doctor as a team leader”. Students have learned a lot in their role play for right communication skill in different scenario of profession.

On 4thday, Post graduate students gave their introduction in front of all faculty members. In last, all students gave their feedback on Google form. While interacting they mentioned that they like Fine Arts College, Naturopathy College, Shaheed  Upvan, Cloudanatomy, Central Research Station (CRS), museums in Medical College. Hospital visit was also very informative as mentioned by PG students.
