Under the able guidance of Dr. Rahul Bansal, Professor and Head, Department of Community Medicine a Health Talk was given on importance of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene during breastfeeding on 17th August 2021 at Archana’s Anganwadi, Prathmik Vidyalaya (I), Khajuri The talk was organized by Captain Abdul Hameed RHTC Khajuri, Subharti Medical College Meerut in collaboration with international Inner Wheel Club Meerut district. The session started with introduction of speaker Dr Chhavi Kiran Gupta, Associate Professor Community Medicine Department who gave a health talk on the importance of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene during breastfeeding and also explained why breastfeeding is important for the development and growth of a child .The next speaker was Dr. Alka Singh, Resident Community Medicine Department who emphasized on the correct method of breastfeeding with the help of a flex showing the correct posture . Help packages for lactating mothers were prepared and distributed by Mrs. Charu Singhal President, International Wheel Club Meerut and member Mrs. Samrat Poonam Goyal. Each package included a sanitizer, mask, child diapers and sanitary pad for mothers. At the end of the health talk Dr. Chhavi Kiran Gupta encouraged lactating mothers to ask questions without hesitation and addressed their queries and concerns.
