Department of Medicine in association with Department of Microbiology have organized a World Antibiotic Awareness Week (WAAW) event to raise public awareness of antibiotics and antibiotic resistance.
This year's events will take place from 18-24th November 2021 The WAAW event will have a booth setup outside enquiry office daily from 10:00am- 2:00 pm which will involve fun learning and activity stations sharing basic facts about bacteria, viruses, antibiotics, antibiotic resistance, and good hygiene practices, including vaccination and handwashing. The event will mark the collaboration between both the departments answering questions and dispelling the myths and misconceptions about antibiotics. Get up close with the consultants to learn more on various type of infections and role of antibiotics and to prevent rational use of antibiotics.
