SUBHARTI MEDICAL COLLEGE

Subharti Medical College, established in Meerut (UP), in the memory of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, is one of the premier Institutes in Private Sector (self-financing) in India. It is a constituent college of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, which is an ‘A’ Grade accredited University by NAAC. The College is located in a majestic building within the vast sprawling campus. It provides teaching and training to award MBBS degree & post graduate degrees in all the major specialties; P.G. Diploma in Anesthesiology & critical care.

The College has all the departments as per MCI norms. Separate department for conducting orientation classes for postgraduates and new faculties and for CME. It also has a Central Research Station with advanced research facilities and a Medical Education Unit. The College has been authorized for Basic Course Training of Teaching Faculties for Medical Education Technology. The College also has Institutional Ethics Committee registered by Drug Controller General (India) for clinical trials and other research projects and a library rich in books & journals. There are more than 15,000 books of various specialties and regular subscription of 176 journals, of which 90 are international journals. There is a computer lab with CEDs internet facilities for the students for self-learning & surfing. Besides, this College is also furnished with the latest and best audio-visual teaching aids such as OHP, LCD, visualizer, electronic teaching boards etc. in all the lecture theatres, departments and teaching points. Departmental laboratories, museum and other infrastructures are of A grade standard to provide best teaching environment to U.G. /P.G. students.

CHHATRAPATI SHIVAJI SUBHARTI HOSPITAL

Chhatrapati Shivaji Subharti Hospital is a 1169 bedded super specialty Hospital associated with Subharti Medical College. Besides tertiary health care to the population of Meerut and surrounding district, it provides a platform for immense training for the students of medical and allied fields. The Hospital provides round the clock emergency services including accident and trauma care. It also provides general quality specialist and super-specialty medical care at highly subsidized rates to one and all. CSS HOSPITAL SERVICES AVAILABLE:

Enquiry, Reception & Registration Services:- These are available in main OPD block. Enquiry facility is available round the clock on Phone no. 0121-6678000, 0121-2439112-150. At reception facilities of waiting area, stretcher trolley, wheel chairs, drinking water, toilet, television, public relation office, patient grievances rederrsal cell, free dispensary and separate registration counters for male & female patients, senior citizen, handicapped and staff. A separate reception & registration facility is also in emergency for patient after normal hospital working between 4:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

(a) Casualty & Emergency Services:- Emergency services are available in all broad specialties round the clock. There are 30 beds in emergency. A separate ward for trauma & accidental cases. Resident doctors of Medicine, Surgery, and Orthopedics & Pediatric are available round the clock. Obstetrics cases are directly shifted to labour room. Emergency is equipped with all emergency equipments such as monitors, pulse oxymeter, ambu bag, defibrillator, ventilator, NIBP, Bipap, infusion pump and central line for suction & oxygen, This is also supported with Surgery & Orthopedics emergency O.T., round the clock pathology investigation facilities blood bank, radiology including mobile USG, X-Ray machine, 10 bedded Surgical ICU, facility of medico-legal examination supervised under department of Forensic Medicine and 6 ambulances equipped with life saving and monitoring equipments including ventilators.

(b) OPD Services:- OPD Services in all major specialties are available between 8:00 AM to 04:00 PM in all working days excluding Sunday & Gazetted holidays such as Republic Day, Independence Day, Azad Hind Divas on 21 Oct, Holi & Diwali Festival. OPDs are mostly on ground floor of the hospital. To avoid overcrowding and delay in consultation 3 OPD are running parallel in Department of Medicine & Surgery, 2 in Orthopedics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Ophthalmology & Pediatrics and 1 in ENT, Pulmonary Medicine, Dentistry, Dermatology, and Psychiatry. Besides this super specialty clinics run in following department as per following schedule.

(c) Laboratory Services:- NABL accredited Central Hospital laboratory having separate sections for Pathology, Microbiology & Biochemistry, is at ground floor of Hospital close to registration area. Investigation facilities are available round the clock. Important tests are CBC, Histopathology, FNAC, Immunology, Culture & Sensitivity, parasitology, electrolytes, LFT, KFT, enzyme, molecular lab, karyotyping, PCR, ELISA and electrophoresis etc. A number of tests are free of charges and others at highly subsidized rates.

(d) Radio-Diagnostic Services:- The facilities of Digital X-rays, Plain X-rays, Intravenous Urography, Digital Radiography (CR System), USG with HRS , CT Scan, Color Doppler, Dexa Scan, RTCT, Digital High Resolution PET-CT Scan with uMI550 Mammography,, CT, MRI, DSA and special investigations such as Barium meal, IVU, HSG, RGU, MCU Fistulography , DCG, Sialography etc. are available at subsidized rates in department of Radio-Diagnosis. These services are also available in emergency round the clock.

(e) Blood Bank:- The facilitates of blood bank is available 24 hours with component separation unit, platelets, platelets concentration, Apheresis all components, T.P.E, P.R.B.C, F.F.P, cryo etc.

(f) Indoor Patient Services:- There are 1169 beds in hospital out of which 920 beds are in General Wards, 86 in ICU beds in Casualty 30, 87 beds in Private ward. There are 33 General Ward of which 7 wards in General Medicine, 5 wards General Surgery, 3 wards in Obstetrics & Gynecology, 3 wards in Pediatrics, 3 wards in Orthopedic, 3 wards in Cardiology, 2 wards in Respiratory Medicine, 2 wards in Ophthalmology and one ward each in ENT, Skin, Psychiatry, Neuro Surgery, Radiation Oncology. There is provision of free diet for the patients of General Ward. There are 86 beds in ICU of which 29 in medicine, 10 in cardiac, 2 in burn unit, 10 in general surgery, 06 in HICU, 5 in respiratory Medicine, 8 in pediatric, 5 in neonatal, 10 Neuro and 07 in OBG. There are well furnished 87 bedded Private Ward on II &II Floor of the Hospital with the facility of TV, Fridge, AC, blower, L.P.G etc. on subsidized rates.

(g) Cath Lab:- Cath Lab equipped with Central Cardiac monitor with facility of angiography and angioplasty. Echocardiography, Tread Mill, Electrocardiography, Holter monitoring, Ballooning & Pacemaker etc

(h) Operation Theatre:- There are 14 Major OTs, 08 Minor and one septic OT on I & II floor of hospital and one labour room O.T on ground floor for safe delivery of babies.

(i) Other Medical Facilities:- Dialysis, Blood Bank, Eye Bank, Endoscopy, EMG, Speech & Occupational Therapy, Acupuncture , Naturopathy ,Yoga, Physiotherapy, De-addiction & Behavioral therapy, Rehabilitation Centre, Children Psychology, dietician, Urban & Rural Health Centers, Hepatitis Centre, ICTC & HIV testing Centre, ART Centre, Medical stores are available in CSS Hospital.

(j) Other Support Services:-Facilities are also available for Hospital Kitchen, Cafeterias, Morgue with Cooling Cabinet for keeping 14 dead bodies, Parking, Ambulance, Medical stores, Housekeeping, Security, Fire Safety security, Laundry, Hospital Infection Control Cell, Bio-medical waste disposal unit integrated, Central Research Station, Bank and ATMs.
