Academics

The students are given exposure of this fascinating specialty so as to make them acquire skills that enable them to diagnose and successfully treat skin ailments. The students is equipped with

  • Sound knowledge of skin diseases , their clinical manifestations , including emergent situations and of investigative procedures
  • Awareness of various modes of topical therapy.
  • Understanding of the mode of actions of various drugs, their doses, side effects / toxicities, indication, contra indications and interactions.
  • Know how of common modes of management including various surgical procedures so as to have comprehensive plan of management for a given disorder.
  • The clarity of the information provided is periodically evaluated .
  • Seminars, Journal club, case presentations organized for PG students.
  • PG students participate in Integrated Seminars with PGs of other departments.
  • PG students are also posted with other departments. (Microbiology, Pathology, Gynaecology and ICU etc.)
  • PG Students participate in teaching programme of undergraduates and paramedical students.
  • Trained to carry out research in scientific and ethical manner and also to analyse and publish it.

Recent Achievements

  1. Dr Anup Kumar Tiwary participated as Panelist for the session on Non-venereal genital dermatoses in National Conference, Mid-Dermacon 2020, Chennai
  2. Dr Anup Kumar Tiwary was appointed as member of Special Interest Group (SIG) by IADVL for next 2 years (2021-2023)
  3. A workshop was conducted on Botulinum toxin on 29th March 2019
  4. Dr. B S Rathore chaired a session on "Co-morbidities in Psoriasis" at Cuticon 2012, Dehradun.
  5. Dr. Arvind Krishna has been appointed as member of executive council of state IADVL.
  6. Dr. B S Rathore has been appointed as Organising Chairman of Cuticon 2013 to be held at Subharti Medical College in October 2013.
  7. Dr. Arvind Krishna has been appointed as Organising Secretary of Cuticon 2013.
  8. Dr. Abhishek Bhardwaj has been appointed as Treasurer of Cuticon 2013.
